This Fourth of July, please donate and help children with disabilities around the world gain the mobility and freedom they deserve.
Nabila Aisya Putri is a cheerful five-year-old from Ambarawa, Semarang, Central Java. Last November, she received her first wheelchair from UCP Wheels for Humanity when it became too difficult for Jesica, Nabila’s mother, to carry her. Now that Nabila has her wheelchair, she can join her mother on walks, as well as go to the local market where her mother sells Serabi Solo, a traditional snack.
With her new wheelchair, Nabila is preparing to enroll at a new school. Nabila does not let her disability get in the way of her big dreams. “I want to be a doctor,” she said when asked about her aspirations. Now that it is easier for Nabila to get around, her future is full of possibilities!
Please consider making a donation today and help the 59 million people around the world who are in the pursuit of freedom, mobility and happiness.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support of UCP Wheels for Humanity and the people we serve!
