Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Wheels in Motion Gala. The event, which was held at the Skirball Cultural Center on September 28, was attended by more than 350 people and raised over $500,000.

Now in its seventh year, the celebratory event features live music, delicious food, and an extensive range of auction items – all in support of mobility for people like Dani Chavarria, who was this year’s special guest.

Dani, 8, who lives with his family in El Salvador, recently received a Liberty wheelchair manufactured by UCP Wheels for Humanity. The chair was properly fitted for Dani’s size and physical needs by a UCP Wheels trained physiotherapist and a wheelchair technician, providing Dani with the comfort and postural support to enable him to sit and move around independently.

The money raised at the gala will go towards providing properly-fitted wheelchairs and support services for children and adults in developing countries.

It costs just $250 to provide a Liberty wheelchair.

Become a member of the #LibertyClub and support a child like Dani for only $21 a month!
