August 2, 2013

What is it?

The World CP Challenge is a fun, engaging and healthy initiative that improves the fitness of participants while having a positive impact on the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities through an interactive website and virtual mountain-climbing experience across all 7 continents.

How does it work?

Gather friends, family & colleagues to form teams of four and register online at www.worldcpchallenge.org/ucpla.

Receive a pedometer to track your daily step count, or convert other exercise into “steps” on the interactive website to take you up virtual mountains around the globe, with the goal of reaching the highest peaks of each continent by the end of the four week challenge.

Compete with neighbors, colleagues, community groups and teams across the world to reach fitness goals and raise funds to help people with developmental disabilities.

Earn perks, engage in virtual activities with other “climbers” and receive facts about cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities, as well as fund raising tools to support the work of UCP Wheels.

The cost per adult is $25 ($100 per team of 4). Children sign up for $10. Sign up today to customize your team’s webpage, track your progress, and get started up the mountain!
